So...I haven't posted since Friday and I do apologize. It has been a crazy couple days. The rest of my trip consisted of a trip to the movies, and a lot of relaxation. Ben and I saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a really cute and funny movie. I would like to buy it when it comes out. The rest of the time we spent enjoying each other's company, and watching tv and movies. I flew home on Christmas Day...well night really. I flew out of Omaha at about 8pm (one hour after we were supposed to leave). The flight was delayed because of air traffic in and out of Minneapolis. Once I got to Minneapolis I had to wait about an hour and a half. The plane was supposed to leave Minneapolis at 10:35 but we had to sit there for about 45 minutes while the plane got deiced so we didn't leave until after 11. I got into Green Bay at about midnight and then had to wait for my luggage. At about 12:45am I finally got to leave the air port and make the hour drive north home. I got home at about 1:45am and was starving, so I had to eat something before going to bed. Needless to say, it was a long day. I had to work at 8:30 this morning so I only got about 4 and a half hours of sleep. Not the least that I've ever gotten.
Today was my best friend Rachael's 21st Birthday. After work I came home to change clothes and then went to her house to hang out. Rachael's mom made home made pizza for her, her boyfriend Jake, our other friend Rachel (not to be confused with Rachael...thank goodness they are spelled different), and I. After eating dinner we watched Rachael open presents and then we had cake. Then we decided to play board games. We played Life (the new one with the credit cards) and Apples to Apples. We had a really good time.
Now I am at home and was thinking about how I have neglected my blog the past few days. I am going to attempt to watch Cat in the Hat (which I started before I went to Nebraska...I need some kind of noise to help me fall asleep) and hopefully get more than 4 and a half hours of sleep tonight. I have to work again at 8:30 tomorrow morning so I am crossing my fingers.

Sable,
Hi! I'm from the AF Moms & Dad's group and saw you had a blog. I just read your posts and I'm glad you had a great Christmas with your brother! I retired from the Air Force in 1993 and now my 21 yr old son is going to join. I don't want him to go but he won't listen. He wants to go into law enforcement and he can't do that in the AF because he is colorblind. He is working at a large hospital now in Public Safety. He thinks he will have time to finish his criminal justice degree in the AF but I don't agree. Anyway....what kind of work do you do and what do you want to be when you grow up. Would be nice to get a another young person's perspective. Keep blogging!!

Hey Sable,
Thanks for offering me a shoulder to lean on - will probably take you up on that at some point! (you might regret offering!)
How was the new game of Life? I was going to buy it but wasnt sure if it would be as much fun as the old one.

Hey Sable, I am catching up on my Blog reading. Glad to hear you got to spend Christmas with your brother. I missed my brother this year. It was the first one in over 15 years that we have not been together. We moved to Florida this summer and he still lives in Seattle. But I did get to have my daughter home for the holidays. That was really important to me. She is now at Wright Patterson AFB for about 10 months. I will get to spend a week with my bro in Feb through. We are meeting in San Francisco and flying to Australia together. We are taking our moms ashes down to be burried with her family. Not the best of circumstances but I will be with my brother just the same. Keep up the blogging.
Michelle
