So...I haven't posted since Friday and I do apologize. It has been a crazy couple days. The rest of my trip consisted of a trip to the movies, and a lot of relaxation. Ben and I saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a really cute and funny movie. I would like to buy it when it comes out. The rest of the time we spent enjoying each other's company, and watching tv and movies. I flew home on Christmas Day...well night really. I flew out of Omaha at about 8pm (one hour after we were supposed to leave). The flight was delayed because of air traffic in and out of Minneapolis. Once I got to Minneapolis I had to wait about an hour and a half. The plane was supposed to leave Minneapolis at 10:35 but we had to sit there for about 45 minutes while the plane got deiced so we didn't leave until after 11. I got into Green Bay at about midnight and then had to wait for my luggage. At about 12:45am I finally got to leave the air port and make the hour drive north home. I got home at about 1:45am and was starving, so I had to eat something before going to bed. Needless to say, it was a long day. I had to work at 8:30 this morning so I only got about 4 and a half hours of sleep. Not the least that I've ever gotten.
Today was my best friend Rachael's 21st Birthday. After work I came home to change clothes and then went to her house to hang out. Rachael's mom made home made pizza for her, her boyfriend Jake, our other friend Rachel (not to be confused with Rachael...thank goodness they are spelled different), and I. After eating dinner we watched Rachael open presents and then we had cake. Then we decided to play board games. We played Life (the new one with the credit cards) and Apples to Apples. We had a really good time.
Now I am at home and was thinking about how I have neglected my blog the past few days. I am going to attempt to watch Cat in the Hat (which I started before I went to Nebraska...I need some kind of noise to help me fall asleep) and hopefully get more than 4 and a half hours of sleep tonight. I have to work again at 8:30 tomorrow morning so I am crossing my fingers.

Day 1 in Nebraska...
So...here I am coming to you from Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. After about an hour delay at the airport in Greeny Bay due to too much air traffic in Minneapolis, I was on my way to Nebraska. I didn't mind the delay, because I was originally supposed to have a layover of over 3 hours in Minneapolis. After 43 minutes in the air my plane touched down in Minneapolis. I immediately rushed off to find my next gate so I knew where it was when it was time to head out. After finding my gate I decided to get something to eat. I went to A & W and had some fries and then walked around the terminal for awhile. I went back to my gate and decided to people watch for the remainder of my layover. Air ports are truly an interesting place. Finally, it was time to board the plane to Omaha. After 48 minutes in the air my plane touched down in Omaha. I called my brother as soon as the plane landed, per his instructions. He was in the parking ramp finding a spot and we decided that we would just meet up at baggage claim. After about 10 minutes we found each other and waited for my bags to come. Finally at about 12:45 am we were leaving the air port. I had to call mom to let her know that I made it safe and sound and tell her about my flights. After talking to mom, paying the parking fee, and getting out of the air port, we decided to go to Taco Bell for some grub.
When we got back to Ben's room I unpacked some of my things. I had 2 suitcases (1 for my clothes and the other for his presents and other goodies that my lovely grandma deems necessary to spoil him with). After unpacking I ate my food and checked my myspace and facebook. At about 3:30 am I finally headed to bed. It was a long day and I was really tired. Of course Ben didn't go to bed when I did. Before the Air Force he was a night owl and was used to staying up until 6 am and then sleeping til like 2pm.
We slept in this morning til about 8:30 when gram (grandma) called because she thought she missed a call of mine. It was a call from yesterday, so she apologized and let me go. I couldn't fall asleep after that, so Ben and I got up and started to tidy up his room. The whole Medical Group was supposed to have dorm inspections today but they never inspected his room. We went to Target and then to Best Buy. We happened to get there right as they were putting about 30 Wii's out on the floor. Ben grabbed one so we can sell it on eBay. Those things were gone in like 5 minutes. I knew they were popular, but I didn't think 30 of them would go that fast! When we left Best Buy we came back to his room and put it up for auction on eBay. Then we went to the Air Force Clinic he works at. Then we had to go grocery shopping and now here I sit blogging. I don't know what we're going to do the rest of the night, but it doesn't matter. I know that just being here makes him happy.
Well...that's all for today! I will return tomorrow.

Day number 2!
Well...the first blog entry wasn't so bad, so I came back! Lol. Today is going to be a busy day because I have to work from 8:30 this morning until 3:30 this afternoon. When I'm done working it's straight to the airport to wait to fly out. My flight leaves at 6:05 this evening, but it's an hour drive to the airport. So I should get to the airport between 4:30 and 5:00. The airport in Green Bay is pretty small, so you don't need the hour or more that they recommend for being there early. I am so excited! You can't even imagine how happy I am to be going! I know that it means the world to my brother and I'm sure he couldn't sleep much last night. Thankfully, I was able to sleep quite a bit. I went to bed earlier than normal (normal isn't before 12:00 usually).
I was going to wait to post my blog for today until I got to work, but I got up earlier than I normally do to ensure that I have everything I need for the next 5 days. Now I am waiting for Kaelyn to get ready for school so I can drop her off. She is in the I'm-not-riding-the-bus stage. She would rather walk to school I think than ride the bus. She needs to be dropped off and picked up...geesh. When I was her age I didn't have a choice. I was told what to do. She is a very demanding child with quite the vocabulary (swear word wise) if I do say so myself. I will probably be posting about her often because she does quite a few things that I wouldn't even think of doing at her age. Almost every child talks back to their parents, but the way she talks is unbelievable!
Well, that's all for today folks! The child beckons! I must go now!!
T-0 days to Nebraska!!!

Taking a stab at blogging...
Well...here goes! I have been reading a blog lately of an Air Force mother named Hallie and it got me thinking that I would like to try blogging. I am 21 years old and I have a realitively big family. I have 1 real (full-same mom and dad) brother, a half sister (same mom), a half brother (same dad), 2 step brothers (on my mom's side), and 2 step brothers (on my dads side). My parents are obviously divorced and have been since I was 2 years old. My dad passed away on June 29, 2002 at the age of 37 from a heart attack. We miss him a lot. My brother Ben, who is 23, is an Airman First Class (A1C) in the United States Air Force. He has been enlisted since October 16, 2006 and is a Mental Health Service Apprentice. He is stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska loves it. My sister Kaelyn (K-Lynn) is 15 and is a freshman in High School. The rest are too many to name and I don't live with them or see them too often, so they won't be in my blogs very much.
It's getting close to Christmas and I am really excited. Last week I wasn't so excited because my mom and grandma failed to tell me until almost last minute that my brother wasn't going to be coming home for Christmas. My brother and I are very close and have been through a lot together, so of course this made me upset and sad. I got to thinking that I couldn't spend Christmas, nor could I let him spend Christmas alone. Offutt is about a 10 hour drive from where we live. We live in Northeast Wisconsin. So...the wheels in my head started turning and I started planning out how it would work (like every child does). I am the type of person that plans it all out first, that way when I ask my grandparents and my mom to help me pay for the trip it's hard for them to say no. I asked for a plane ticket to Omaha as part of my Christmas present. So I looked into airline fares and got some prices, planned out when I would leave and when I would come back, talked to my brother, and then all I had to do was talk to the grandparents and see if they would help me out. I went over to my grandparents house and told them what I wanted to do and asked if that could be my Christmas present and they happily agreed. So...I'M GOING TO OFFUTT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
Today I have/had to pack all my things for my trip. I am leaving tomorrow and I am coming back late on Christmas day. I won't be back until about midnight. That's fine with me because I will be spending Christmas with my brother.
I swear that I have one of the weirdest families ever. My mom is making no-bake cookies for my brother because they are his favorite and I have to take them in my suit case. If that isn't bad enough...my grandma is making me taking polish sausage and sauerkraut!!! Do they not realize how much of a freak I'm going to look like with sausage and sauerkraut in my suitcase. I can just imagine the look on the airport personnel's faces when they see food in my luggage. I'm sure I'm not the first and won't be the last, but that's not the point. Not only do I have to bring our Christmas meal with me, I have to bring all of his presents. Ok...when I say all it makes it sound like there are a hundred, and there aren't that many. There are a lot of small things like giftcards and such... but I still have to bring them all.
I told Ben that when I get there tomorrow at about midnight, the first thing we are doing is going to Wal-Mart to get him a little spiral tree. We are still getting him a tree, but it might have to wait until Friday afternoon. He has a room inspection sometime on Friday and we don't want him to get marked down for a cluttered room.
Today and tomorrow are going to be really busy...yet I'm taking the time to start a blog. How weird! So...instead of actually doing something about it and getting off the computer, I will sit here and complain about how busy it's going to be. Nice Sable, really nice! Lol. Yesterday my aunt asked me if I would make a fleece blanket for my uncle. It's one of the ones that you take 2 pieces of fleece material and tie them together. I have made a few before and they aren't hard. They just take some time to do. Especially when your hands cramp up. I agreed to do it and she even offered me some money for the little job. So I started it last night and got one of the ends done. I have to go over to my grandma's and finish it today.
I have been spending quite a bit of time with my grandma in the past week because she just found out that after 46 years of marriage, my grandpa filed for divorce with no warning. He left her a note on the counter saying that filed for divorce and she was not to contact him. Her whole world came crashing down and it's hard for her as it would be for anyone. We (my family and I) want someone to be with her as much as possible so she isn't lonely. She likes the company and this way we can make sure she is taking care of herself. She is 64 years old and feels like this is the end of her life. She doesn't want to be alone 'til she dies and I don't blame her. She doesn't really have an appetite, but I make sure she eats anyways so she isn't hungry.
After I make the blanket, I have to go to lunch with my mom and grandma. Then I will probably spend some more time with grandma. Tomorrow I have to work and then I am off to Offutt.
Well, I think that's enough blogging for the first day. I am new at the whole blogging thing, so I hope this isn't too boring for anyone who might read this.
T-1 day 'til Nebraska!
